This post is full of links to tutorials for different projects for making your boy’s room a cool space!
Here’s what the blogosphere has for the room of your little man. All of these blogs are favorites of mine and ones that I read regularly.
First up, I’m in love with this thread art. I want to do this for Small Fry’s room and I’d like it to say, “DUDE”
Next is this incredibly inventive idea to make your old crib foot/headboard into an easel for your little artist
Ok, these next two, while I know in the reality portion of my brain I will not ever do these projects or at least ever finish them, I have a lot of fun thinking that I’d make one of these for my boy’s rooms. But I post them anyway for either the amazing woman out there who actually would accomplish this or for the woman who likes to live vicari0usly through other people’s massive projects as do I.
Check out these RUGS!!!! They made these, kids. This first one is a t-shirt rug.
The next is, I think leftover fabric and tshirts…a mishmash braided rug really.
I like this method of transfering photos and images onto a canvas. It’s much cheaper than getting a canvas printed from a lab.
This bean bag chair is one that I have actually done just a couple days ago…it turned out JUST like the pictures and the tutorial is very easy to follow. It is the only one in this post that is a paid tutorial but it’s worth the price for the ease of the pattern.
This superhero room is not a tutorial, per say, but I just loved it for the ideas if you have a superhero lovin’ boy.
This lego/chalkboard table is GENIUS. If you are good at wood-working or have a husband who is…it would be fabulous.
I think this table would go PERFECTLY with this lego activity sack with window. I’m planning on making this for Sam’s duplos. He has them scattered everywhere and sometimes they end up in a tattered basket. So, I want this for his room.
I’m obsessed with these funny faces pillows! I made a couple of them already for a friend’s kids and plan on making more. What a great thing to have on their bed instead of throw pillows. The options are limitless since all the facial features are just pieces of felt that they play with like on a regular felt board. All the pieces stow in the back in a convenient pocket.
So….that’s it for today! Enjoy looking at all the posts! I’m prepping baby blanket post for next week…tons of different ideas for all different sewing levels. I’ve tried a few of them
